Beyond excited to share our experience with you, sharing the Montage Deer Valley Travel Guide and the many reasons why you need to pack your bags right NOW and go visit. You get the remote setting of Deer Valley with close location to Park City and a short drive to Salt Lake City. The first day we enjoyed hiking around the hotel in the snow, exploring the surroundings. We had lunch at the on property Burgers & Bourbon for delicious burgers and cocktails. Highly recommend! The food and atmosphere were great, with a giant fire-pit right outside to hang out and take in all the views. At night, we got ready and headed out to Park City, falling more in love with the city with the cute boutique lined street filled with shops and restaurants. We decided on Yuki Yama Sushi for dinner and could not have made a better choice, we loved the food and experience! Some of our favorite items we ordered were the the Yama-mame (too good, pictured below!), Pork Gyoza and the Mr. Miyagi role. Good drinks, handsome company, perfect window seat with a view, it was a magical spot for a birthday dinner.

Throughout the rest of our trip, we enjoyed waking up and hitting the gym at the Montage Spa with the most picturesque views and top of the line equipment. Plus, a daily visit to the 35,000 sq ft alpine inspired spa that included a sauna, steam room, hot tub, quiet lounge and other soothing amenities to help relax and put your mind at ease. There was a women’s and men’s spa, which checked off Mark’s first spa experience! You can say he fell in love as much as I did. Highlight of our trip was our spa visit each day! Leaving the spa, you enter the Montage indoor pool (pictured below) which what looks out to the beautiful snow covered mountains out the floor to ceiling windows.

On our last full day in Deer Valley, we borrowed a car from the Montage (they allow you to borrow a complementary SUV for up to 4 hours!) to drive into Salt Lake City, check out the downtown scene and grab lunch. On any trip we take, we like to take full advantage at seeing as much as possible around us. Even though we could have stayed at the Montage the entire trip will all that it offered, it was fun to explore and I would definitely recommend it!

If this overview of our trip has not yet sold you, each day at 5pm Montage hosts a s’more bar around the fire-pit. With homemade marshmallows, all the favorite fixings and hot chocolate, this is what dreams are made of. Not to forget, my favorite part of the trip, was getting to meet Montage Ambassadors Monty and Parker. REALLY wanted to sneak back Monty in our suitcase. These cute pups are in the lobby each weekday at 11am and 3pm to greet guests and say hello.

p.s. SO sad that the Veuve Clicquot yurt, The Après Lounge, was not open during our visit in early November. If you go during ski season, be sure to check out this adorable gem.
