1. This is my favorite room in our home, Millie’s room! I remember all the mood boards and hours spent into every single detail of her room before she was born. It was all worth it and we spend so much of our time here creating the best memories that I will always cherish. This vintage-inspired mirror was on my wish list for the longest time and when we found out we were having a girl I knew we had to have it! I seriously designed the room around it. Good news, it’s currently 25% off (part of a huge site-wide sale) and free shipping if you purchase the 3′ size! If your social distancing activities include retail therapy (like me) then this sale is the one for you.
In addition to online shopping, I’m sharing activity items that we love to keep you entertained while social distancing.
p.s. I want to share a full room reveal soon but this sale was too good to pass up. Millie’s changing basket and liner are also included in the sale! Here’s our chandelier, that’s such a good price right now.
At Home Activities
2. With all this extra time at home we’re getting creative with how we spend our time. Which means, games, puzzles, wine, repeat! We are big gamers, so here are some of our favorites to help you pass this time with a little friendly competition.
The one game we don’t have but is currently in my cart is Unstable Unicorns. Have you played?!
Baby and Toddler Home Activities
3. I am getting creative and coming up with new ways to entertain Millie while home. I have heard amazing things about sensory bags and wanted to try making them myself. The key is to place different objects and textures in the bags and let them explore what’s inside.
Tip: make sure to seal the bag extra well and if needed use tape! You can also tape these to the ground or table if you’re afraid this may end up all in their mouths.
Here is what I ordered for her!
Here’s my plan. With the hair gel, you can place that in a baggie along with flowers and fresh greenery from outside. The washable paint, I’m placing on a sheet of paper and putting the paper inside the baggie so we can finger paint without the mess. The other items are for other sensory bag ideas I want to try. I will share more once we play!
We also have this bubble machine and bubbles set and Millie LOVES it! We will for sure be breaking this out to play this weekend.
In addition here’s a really fun article I read earlier that includes 30 at-home activities for toddlers.
Favorite Coffee Table Books
4. I shared this list on Instagram this week but I felt that it needed to be included here too. Now’s the perfect time to begin reading books that you’ve had on your to-do list. For me, this includes my coffee table book collection! I always love refreshing our home with new ideas, reading new recipes to try out and being inspired by hosting tips and tricks. When not practicing social distancing, we love to entertain at our home!
Here is a roundup of my favorite coffee table books. The two I’m looking to add to my collection are Flowers Every Day and Down to Earth. I have heard amazing things on both!
I talked about Gather at Home in my Friday Favorites last week, here, so I won’t go into too much detail. But trust me, you really need this one.
Let’s be real, I’m obsessed with everything that Joanna does. Including her beautiful book Homebody. I find myself constantly reaching for this one and love the way she creates multiple home collections to inspire based on your own home style. Another good addition, Nate Berkus nailed his book The Things That Matter. I love adding personal touches to our home and I am always trying to add new things to my vintage collection.
Anthropologie Sale
5. Anthropologie is having a HUGE sale right now and 25% off everything, plus free shipping on orders over $50 and free returns. Below I’ve shared the mirror I mentioned above, a few wish list items (their PJs sets are hands down the best ones I own and I can’t wait to wear this pink dress in the summer) and then my best hair accessories! I wear this headband way too much, but it’s the perfect size and is an easy way to accessorize any outfit.
Enjoy your time at home this weekend with these social distancing activity ideas! Would love to hear what you guys are up to.
Take time to do all the things you’ve had on your to-do list. We are all in this together and I’m trying to stay positive knowing this time will pass. Let’s stick together and continue to lean on one another.
