One year ago I made the last minute decision to take maternity photos a week before my due date! Even though the last thing I wanted to do at nine months pregnant was put on anything other than leggings… this is something I will never regret. I never took anything for granted during the entire pregnancy and it was our biggest blessing to have a baby girl join our family. I’ll always cherish these last minute decision photos, read more to see why!
As we quickly approach Millie’s first birthday next week, in honor of her I’m going to be sharing some highlights of this last year over the next few days! Starting with her favorite toys and books that kept her attention most from 9-12 months. I want this to be a helpful resource for any moms out there looking and researching for their littles. When I got pregnant with Millie I had NO idea where to even begin with all things baby! There was so much to learn and so many options out there. Hopefully I can help narrow down your search based on everything that worked for us in this Millie’s Favorite Toys 9-12 Months recap.
1. Woke up this morning with a refreshed feeling for a fresh start now that it’s the first day of May! Not only is it a Friday, it’s also my baby girl’s birthday month and Mother’s Day is next weekend. So much to celebrate! I also received this beautiful dried flower wrap in the mail yesterday from Native Poppy and it just made my day when I came downstairs. Good things are going to happen this month for all of us, I can feel it! This Friday Favorites – May First post features a fun Mother’s Day giveaway that starts today, Nordstrom sale picks that would make perfect Mother’s Day gifts, cute face masks and Millie’s favorite sleep sack.
Gift giving is one of the love languages that I speak so I’m SO excited to share this mother’s day gift guide with you. Most of these items are a tried and true favorite of mine when looking to purchase a gift for a loved one. Come see my Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020 as I share options for the treasured women in your life!
1. This week after eating dinner and putting Millie down to sleep, I finally made time to put on a face mask. I’m so happy I did, what a difference it made! Not only to my skin but a little spa night at home (and a glass of wine) was just what I needed. While I might try and hide a lot of my stress, I can tell my body is telling me otherwise because my skin has been freaking out. This face mask has been a favorite of mine that I keep coming back to. It’s also currently 10% with code ‘springsave’!
This Friday Favorites – Spa Night at Home is a mini reminder to take care of yourself and take time for little pampering at home. Also sharing another small business favorite, Nordstrom 70% off picks, Millie’s favorite toy of the week and more.
When it came time to find a play mat for Millie at six months, when she started getting more active and interested in sitting up to play with toys, you better believe I started researching every option out there. With a smaller space downstairs, I wanted a play mat that I felt comfortable leaving out (never thought I would be saying this) and would blend in with our home. Read more to see our favorite option and why in this The House of NOA plat mat review!
1. I LOVE holidays and I’m so excited to celebrate Millie’s first Easter this Sunday. It’s bittersweet not getting to share this day with our entire families, as we are all keeping our distance during the quarantine, but we are staying strong knowing we will all reunite soon and have the biggest celebration. We plan to hide Easter eggs Sunday morning around the house for Millie to find and I want to continue to share new traditions with her and our family that we can carry on for the years to come. We still plan to get dressed up Sunday, watch our Church mass online and enjoy this special day with all that we are blessed to have. This Friday Favorites – Happy Easter features a few small businesses I love, a fun easy Easter treat recipe, weekend sale faves, lovevery update and more.
1. I have done a lot of reflecting over these last few weeks at home. Reflecting on the last year when our whole world changed for the better in May. And we brought our beautiful baby girl Millie into the world. Can’t believe she’s going to be ONE so soon. We made the tough decision this week to cancel her birthday party next month, just to be safe, but instead I’m focusing on the good. So grateful that she’s in our lives, healthy, happy and loves more than anything to be our center of attention. We love it too, Millie! Planning something extra special for her first birthday with us at home and looking forward to celebrating our baby girl! This Friday Favorites – family time + small business love is centered around a few small businesses our family loves and I think you will too.
