Millie’s Favorite Toys 9-12 Months

As we quickly approach Millie’s first birthday next week, in honor of her I’m going to be sharing some highlights of this last year over the next few days! Starting with her favorite toys and books that kept her attention most from 9-12 months. I want this to be a helpful resource for any moms out there looking and researching for their littles. When I got pregnant with Millie I had NO idea where to even begin with all things baby! There was so much to learn and so many options out there. Hopefully I can help narrow down your search based on everything that worked for us in this Millie’s Favorite Toys 9-12 Months recap.

The House of NOA Play May Review

Montessori Type Toys

We got most of our Montessori toys with our Lovevery subscription (more on that here) but I found similar toys with the same concept. These continue to keep Millie entertained and busy! She loves figuring out different ways to play with all elements and gets SO excited and proud of herself when she succeeds. For example, she loves dropping balls in the box with holes on top. She loves the noise it makes and will do this over and over again. It’s the cutest and so rewarding to watch her excitement and enthusiasm.

Books

Between 9-12 months Millie has really started to get more interested in books! At our baby shower the hosts requested everyone bring a book in place of a card to sign and it’s been so special reading each book to Millie along with the special note from the gift giver. Here are some of the books that Millie wants to read on repeat these days.

Sit + Stand Toys

Millie has this toy train set at her grandparents house and LOVES it! There are so many different options for this product and many ways to play. I also love that this toy can grow with the baby. The activity walker is helping Millie learn to walk and this learning table has been a staple at helping Millie learn to sit then stand up while also keeping her entertained.

Swing

I shared more details on our swing here! Millie gets SO excited every time we go outside to play in the swing. She will spend a good amount of time swinging with the biggest smile on her face. All for under $50!

Teething Toys

Millie has been teething since she was around 6 months. Here are some of her favorite teething toys that we found worked the best for her! We won’t leave the house without them.

Toy Must Haves

Here is a roundup of other toys Millie really likes. She is obsessed with our remote controls so we got her a few of her own. Stacking Cups have been a front runner since she was born and are still a go-to! I also love this stacking block set as an alternative to cups. Added a few other classic toy items that stand true in our household as being tried and true favorites.

Toy Basket

I get a lot of questions around our toy basket in the living room next to our play mat so I wanted to share similar ones. This basket is where Millie stood up (from a sitting position) for the first time to peek in and see all her toys. I love that she knows this is her space and we can fill the basket with different items to keep her interest high and curious. I love watching her pull herself up to the basket when she’s ready to play with something new or grab a book! Plus, honestly the best part is that I can hide all her toys in it without having to look at them all the time (mom confession!).

Hope that Millie’s Favorite Toys 9-12 Months was helpful!
