One year ago I made the last minute decision to take maternity photos a week before my due date! Even though the last thing I wanted to do at nine months pregnant was put on anything other than leggings… this is something I will never regret. I never took anything for granted during the entire pregnancy and it was our biggest blessing to have a baby girl join our family. I waited so long to do our maternity photos because honestly I didn’t think we needed them. I wasn’t sure if I felt up for getting ready as the due date quickly approached. It wasn’t until after we received the photos after Millie was born that I truly appreciated them. The first time I saw the photos I was brought to tears.

Babies are such miracles and holding my baby girl while looking at photos of when she was in my belly just a few short weeks prior was something extra special. At the time of the photo shoot we had dreamed of everything our baby would be. How it would change our family for the better and the exciting nervous feeling of being first-time parents. The reality of meeting sweet Millie for the first time and holding her in our arms was unlike anything I have ever felt and beyond our wildest dreams.

My world was forever changed for the better on May 12, 2019 and these photos will always be close to my heart. As a reminder of the last few moments I eagerly awaited that day! If you are on the fence about taking maternity photos, DO IT! You will never regret capturing this blessing and these special moments that are an experience of a lifetime.
