Master Bedroom Bedding

When I was a little girl, I was taught to make my bed every morning. Well…. good news mom and dad, that life lesson has stuck with me! I am a sucker for beautiful bedding and appreciate starting each day with a bed made and clean room for a clear head. So, I want to pass this on to you! With all this extra time at home, now is a great time to invest in cozy bedding and give your room a little refresh. Sharing our master bedroom bedding and a few other bedding favorites. Including some vintage pillow finds!

Master Bedroom Bedding: Duvet Cover

We have this duvet cover currently and I love it! The fridge detail adds the perfect amount of texture to the room and it’s a great quality that I love and expect from Anthropologie. Good news, it’s currently on sale and part of their 25% off home and furniture sale going on right now (sale price reflected in cart). If you are looking for new bedding now is a great time to purchase! I shared our bedding plus another white duvet favorite below, along with both matching pillow shams.

Because our headboard is a little bit shorter, I opted to do two standard pillow shams but they are also available in euro size if that’s what you prefer. We have a queen bed so we use two shams but for a king size bed I recommend two king shams or three euro pillows.

Down Comforter Insert

When I was looking for a new down comforter for our room, I knew I wanted to go with real feathers (vs. down alternative) and I was looking for one that would look extra fluffy when filling our duvet. I opted for this one from Pottery Barn and we love it! When we make the bed we keep it folded at the end of the bed but we do sleep with it and I love the warmth it adds. Even in the heat, I love being snuggled up under the covers!

Tip: to achieve the fluffy, or more full look of the duvet, opt to get one size larger down comforter than the duvet. For example, we have a queen bed and I got the queen duvet with a king down comforter. You could also fill with two down comforters to get an even fuller look.

Here is our down comforter plus another great Target find that I also really like.

Quilts

I love different bedding textures and adding layers to the bed to achieve the look I am going for. I have a few different quilts, one in white and one in navy, that I switch out throughout the year depending on the season. This helps to easily get a different look and change things up a bit, which can also be achieved through switching out pillows. More on that later!

In addition to the two quilts we have, I also shared a few other options I love from Target below.

Sheets

Sheets really are the heart of the bed! Everyone raves about good sheets. We have tried a few over the years and found a few favorites that we LOVE. Oddly enough this set by Opalhouse from Target is one we keep going back to. I love the pattern, another easy way to add a little more detail to our room. It’s a Percale sheet set that’s so soft and doesn’t get too warm or too cold. Currently on sale and under $40 for the queen size.

We have also recently tried this set from Serena & Lily and quickly fell in love. This set is currently on sale and just feels SO luxurious. I’ll definitely be ordering more bedding and sheets from them in the future!

I’ve shared the sheets we love (above) and a few others. Would love to hear what your favorite sheets are in the comments, we are always looking for new ones.

A Few Vintage Pillow Favorites

I have a slight obsession with pillows… especially vintage pillows. (Sorry Mark!) I love adding to my collection every year and switching out pillows seasonally. This helps achieve a quick and easy refreshed look around our home.

On our bed, we currently have styled with two 22″ pillows and a lumbar pillow in front of that. Here are some beautiful vintage fabric pillows I found.

Hope you enjoyed our master bedroom bedding favorites. I’m always looking to add to our collection and change up our room, if you have favorites I would love to hear about them in the comments below!
